In this workshop we will examine how effectively you have used the fundamentals of novel writing, such as characterization and motivation, scenes, dialogue, pacing and momentum, structure, voice, as well as more ephemeral elements such as tone, mood and atmosphere. Through a series of frank discussions, the reading of various texts, and a number of short writing exercises, Canadian-Barbadian author Robert Edison Sandiford explores the ways in which we might all write more compassionately, clearly and convincingly about who and what we don’t (yet) know. This online workshop is designed to help writers of both fiction and nonfiction to develop strategies for editing their work and getting it published. Geared to both beginner and intermediate writers, each participant will have the opportunity to workshop one piece of writing (up to 4,000 words). Over the eight weeks of the workshop, we will discuss each participant’s work in a friendly, respectful, and inclusive manner. More infoMore info
