The Quebec Writers’ Federation is seeking a temporary, part-time coordinator to work on the 2023 QWF College Writers Award from mid-March through mid-June. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with representatives from eight English-language colleges to ensure that the prize is well publicized within the colleges and for carrying out a publicity campaign to be developed in conjunction with the QWF communications coordinator.

Job Responsibilities:

Working under the supervision of the QWF’s membership services coordinator, the part-time coordinator will coordinate publicity and roll-out of the competition and the intake of submissions for the 2023 QWF College Writers Award. The successful candidate will handle all communications with one faculty member from each of the following eight college campuses: Champlain (Lennoxville, Saint-Lambert, and St. Lawrence), Dawson, Heritage, John Abbott, Marianopolis, and Vanier.

In addition, the person may be asked to create a new visual identity for the Award.

The work can be carried out remotely, so qualified people from outside the Montreal region are invited to apply as long as they are based in Quebec.

Required Skills

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Excellent organizational skills (experience with Trello or other organizational tools is an asset)
  • Proven ability to work autonomously
  • Design skills and experience with Canva or other design tools are an asset.
