DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, July 11\, 2024\, 1:00–3:00 pm ETIn person (and livestreamed on Zoom)Free\, limited to 10 in-person spots\n\n\n\nCurious about the manifold mysteries of self-publishing? \n\n\n\nJoin us for Self-Publishing 101\, a roundtable discussion led by four self-published authors and one editor. Each will delve into a topic of their choosing about the self-publishing industry before moving to an open discussion with the in-person audience. Participants are invited to come with questions for the discussion leaders. \n\n\n\nDel Chatterson will discuss the importance of being entrepreneurial as a self-published author. \n\n\n\nLaura MacAulay will talk about the importance of editing and working with an editor. \n\n\n\nLatoya Belfon will explore author goals and publishing rights. \n\n\n\nDon Macdonald will explain the advantages of self-publishing and the importance of producing a high-quality product. \n\n\n\nJim Olwell will discuss the distribution of books once published. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re curious about self-publishing\, want to better market yourself as an author\, or are seeking advice from some of your fellow do-it-yourselfers\, this discussion is for you. \n\n\n\nThis event is free for both in-person and online attendees. In-person spots are available on a first-come\, first-served basis. Online attendees will be able to submit questions for discussion\, but only in-person participants will be able to participate directly in the discussion.
