Their work has appeared in The Best Canadian Poetry 2018 anthology\, GUTS\, Carte Blanche\, the Shade Journal\, The New Quarterly\, Arc Poetry Magazine\, and elsewhere. They were longlisted for the CBC poetry prize in 2019. You can find them on Instagram and Twitter @theonlyelitareq. Their book\, knot body\, was published by Metatron Press in September 2020\, and their upcoming book\, The Good Arabs\, will be published by Metonymy Press in 2021.\n\nAuteur\, comédien/danseur\, metteur en scène et dramaturge en danse\, Mathieu Leroux est diplômé de l’École supérieure de théâtre de l’UQAM (profil interprétation). Il est détenteur d’une maîtrise en littérature française (Université de Montréal\, 2011). On lui doit plusieurs publications\, notamment Dans la cage\, son premier roman (Héliotrope\, 2013)\, la suite\, Avec un poignard (Héliotrope\, 2020)\, Quelque chose en moi choisit le coup de poing (La Mèche\, 2016) — un ouvrage rassemblant un essai sur la performance de soi et du théâtre autobiographique —\, en plus de quelques traductions de romans graphiques à La Pastèque. Il est directeur littéraire de la collection théâtre à L’instant même\, en plus d’être l’un des mentors (dramaturgie) de Danse à la carte.\n\nAvant d’être romancier\, Pierre Samson a été banquier\, chauffeur\, barman puis recherchiste et scripteur à la télévision. Et lecteur insatiable. Il s’exile en 1995 à Toronto pour écrire en toute paix son premier roman\, Le Messie de Belém\, remarqué par la critique. De retour à Montréal\, sa ville natale\, il publie son second roman\, Un garçon de compagnie\, en lice pour le Prix du Gouverneur général du Canada en 1998. En 2000\, il a reçu le Prix de l’Académie pour Il était une fois une ville\, également finaliste au Prix du Gouverneur général. Avec l’aide de Richard Blaimert\, il écrit la série télévisée Cover-Girl\, diffusée à Radio-Canada. En 2008\, le Prix littéraire des collégiens lui a été décerné pour son roman Catastrophes. En 2009\, il publie Arabesques et\, en 2013\, La Maison des pluies\, Grand Prix du livre de Montréal. Son roman Le mammouth (2019) figure parmi les finalistes du Prix des libraires\, du Grand Prix du livre de Montréal et du Prix littéraire des collégiens 2021\, en plus de remporter le Prix J. I. Tuning In tackles issues of denial\, fear and care. Three Canadian women playwrights explore the perspectives that reflect our personal realities and also the truths that bind us together. The series invites us to question the human experience and how society shapes us. \nTUNING IN’S PLAYWRIGHTS\nYVETTE NOLAN\n\n\nOn the subject of DENIAL \nLÂCHE PAS LA PATATE\nTwo siblings meet to figure out what to do with their father’s ashes.
