SUMMARY:2026 Knowlton Literary Festival - October 15-17\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:Frank Nixon is delighted to announce that he will be participating in the 2026 Knowlton Literary Festival in Knowlton (Lac-Brome)\, Quebec\, on October 15\, 2026. \nAn author and former journalist with deep roots in Quebec’s Eastern Townships\, Frank spent many years covering the people\, places\, and events that shape life in the region. A graduate of McGill University and Concordia University\, he contributed hundreds of articles to community newspapers throughout the Townships. \nHis debut novella\, Wayward Voices\, draws on those experiences. Set in the fictional town of Wayward\, the story follows a disgraced Montreal reporter seeking refuge in a small Eastern Townships community while confronting the mistakes\, memories\, and relationships that continue to haunt him. \nFrank looks forward to meeting readers and discussing the inspiration behind Wayward Voices at this year’s festival. \nLearn more at www.franknixon.com.

SUMMARY:Book Launch: It's All Coming Back to Me Now
DESCRIPTION:“Poignant and hilarious\, often on the same page.” Le Devoir \nJoin us for the launch of Jean-Michel Fortier’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now — the English translation of Tout me revient maintenent by Jonathan Kaplansky. \nABOUT THE BOOK\nIt’s 2003 and Colin and his best friend Eugénie are—like every other teenager in Sainte-Foy—waiting for the bus\, hanging out at the mall\, logging onto MSN\, working weekend shifts\, steering clear of their parents\, and trying not to be rejects as they navigate their school’s social hierarchies. Colin has two secrets: he’s obsessed with Céline Dion\, and he likes Yann\, his older brother’s friend. To be or not to be fake; for Colin\, that’s the question\, and his heart wavers somewhere between silence\, ambiguity\, and truth. Whimsical and provocative\, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now is a heartfelt and timeless coming-of-age story. \nABOUT THE AUTHOR AND TRANSLATOR\nOriginally from Quebec City\, Jean-Michel Fortier studied literature at l’Université Laval and film at l’Université de Montréal. He is the author of Le chasseur inconnu (The Unknown Huntsman)\, Les bains électriques (The Electric Baths)\, La révolution d’Agnès. It’s All Coming Back to Me Now\, the English translation of Tout me revient maintenant\, is his fourth novel. He lives in Québec City. \nJonathan Kaplansky won the French Voices Award to translate Annie Ernaux’s Things Seen (La vie extérieure) and recently translated the libretto for an opera by Hélène Dorion and Marie-Claire Blais: Yourcenar: une île de passions. He lives in Montreal. \nFree \nRefreshments will be served

SUMMARY:More Than a MILF: Sex and the Aging Female Body
DESCRIPTION:Come join Robyn Diner as she launches her creative nonfiction anthology\, More Than a MILF: Sex and the Aging Female Body\, starring an international lineup of unruly midlife and older writers reading snippets of their often spicy\, usually funny and always raw stories: \n•	Gail Rice (Australia)\n•	Sisi S (Lebanon)\n•	Chanée Naomi (Paris)\n•	Abbe Aronson (Woodstock)\n•	Samira Hassan (Victoria)\n•	Andrea Zanin (Toronto)\n•	Clementine Morrigan (Montréal) \nThere will be food and drink. You can meet the contributors\, and the publisher: Marion Lougheed founder of Off Topic Publishing. \nPre-registration is welcome\, but not required though it allows you to order a signed copy. \n— \nMore Than a MILF is the only nonfiction literary anthology in recent years to zero in on sex in relationship to aging female and nonbinary bodies. \nA 70-year-old psychotherapist in Australia hires an escort. When he doesn’t give her what she asked for\, she emails him to request a refund… \nA middle-aged woman in Lebanon is in the middle of a ménage à trois when bombs start exploding around the building… \nA teacher in their fifties reflects on decades of queer sex and concludes that they would rather eat cheese… \nFeaturing thirty diverse and disruptive voices\, these stories both celebrate pleasure and interrogate why so much shame and pain still haunt the terrain.
