As public debates become more conflictual\, how do we remain present to one another’s suffering\, even when we fundamentally disagree? Rabbi Lisa Grushcow offers a spiritual perspective on empathy and suffering\, while anthropologist Samuel Veissière examines the social forces driving deepening division.
