Haber, Alexandria

Alexandria Haber is an award -winning playwright whose work has been produced across Canada.  She has also written radio dramas and screenplays. As well, Alex is an experienced teacher and workshop leader and has worked at Concordia, the QWF and The McGill Writing Centre.  Her playwriting workshop is fun and dynamic and will give students a jump-start on creating a piece of dramatic fiction.  The workshop consists of a combination of short timed writing exercises that cover the fundamental aspects of playwriting in a fun and creative way and discussion. She is also happy to do readings from her work followed by a question/answer period or to offer a visit that combines the two. Most recently, her play Alice and The World We Live In premiered at Centaur Theatre in October 2019.  She has also worked extensively with Geordie Theatre writing plays for young audiences that include: Game Changers and I don’t like Mondays and most recently, The Water Chronicles.
