The Quebec Writers’ Federation is delighted to announce the calls for submissions for the 2024 QWF Awards to honour excellence in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, first book, translation, playwriting, spoken word, and children’s and young adult literature.
Eight prizes of $3000 each will be awarded at the 2024 QWF Awards Gala on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at the Cabaret Lion d’Or in Montreal.
Those who are submitting a book for the Concordia University First Book Prize may simultaneously submit the book for the fiction, non-fiction or poetry prize, but must complete the two separate forms for both prizes to and pay two separate submission fees.
New for 2024: Submissions to be completed via Submittable
We’ve replaced our PDF forms from previous years with online Submittable forms. Please submit all entries to the 2024 Awards via Submittable.
The deadline to submit to the seven book prizes is Monday, June 3, 2024. The deadline to submit to the Ian Ferrier Spoken Word Prize is Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
