About the Loi sur le statut de l’artiste

Adopted in June 2022, the Loi sur le statut de l’artiste is intended to bring together the provisions governing the professional status of artists working in visual arts, film, recording arts, arts and crafts, performing arts, and literature. As such, it allows UNEQ to negotiate collective agreements that set minimum working conditions for writers and literary artists.
