Needs-Based Workshop Scholarships

QWF offers four full needs-based scholarships each workshop term (spring and fall) to participants who would not be able to attend without one.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must live in Quebec.
• There is no age or publication requirement.
• Writers who have received either a needs-based scholarship or a Fresh Pages scholarship in the last five years are not eligible to apply.

 How to Apply

1. Start by viewing our workshops and choose the workshop you are most interested in taking, along with a second choice in case your first choice is full.
2. Contact John Wickham at john@qwf.org to request a scholarship. Please include the names of your first and second choices and a brief statement (maximum 1 paragraph) affirming that you meet the eligibility criteria. Let us know if you need bursary funds to make it possible for you to attend (for childcare, for example). Be sure to include your full name and the best ways to contact you.

Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to those who have not already received a QWF scholarship.
