Introducing Montreal-based micro-press Turret House Press!

In this 90-minute Lunch and Learn, Turret House founder James Hawes will give an overview of the press’s operations, including their submission and selection process for publishing poetry chapbooks. Join us as James explains how to submit your work, discusses what Turret House and other micro-presses are looking for in submissions, and sheds light on the burgeoning, exciting world of indie publishing.

This event is free and open to all. A Q&A with the audience will follow the presentation. The session will be recorded and published on YouTube.

About Turret House

“The hippest micro-press dedicated to new and experimental poetry,” Turret House Press was founded in March 2022 and is the publisher of over 20 poetry chapbooks and The Frog Pond Review, which has featured such writers as Sarah Burgoyne, Nelson Ball, George Bowering, Gillian Sze, Misha Solomon, and more. Turret House was started by Montreal poet James Hawes in tribute to his late uncle Christopher Hawes, a playwright and novelist who shared his love of jazz, art, and literature.
