Poetry Evening with Madhur Anand

In our endeavour to bring quality poetic activities to town, Kabir Centre Poetry Club warmly invites you to an evening of Poetry Reading followed by a discussion and Q&A by Dr Madhur Anand as per the following details:

Dr Madhur Anand is an ecology professor and a Governor General’s Literary award-winning writer who will be reading poems from her book: Parasitic Oscillations” that deals with topics related to the environment, the Indian diaspora and birds. She will also be reading from her memoir “This Red Line Goes Straight to Your Heart”Dr Anand’s poems reflect an intriguing combination of living and practicing as both a poet and scientist while her memoir has shades of human emotions about Partition of India and Pakistan, immigration and generational storytelling. The evening is poised to discuss an exciting array of themes that will appeal to you as a poet and an immigrant.
