Welcome to Sapphic Writes! We’re an online group of writers who self-identify as 2SLGBTQIA+ women, and we meet every two weeks to discuss our creative works in progress. Join us for an evening of creativity, inspiration, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or just starting out, this workshop is the perfect space to explore your poetry and prose. Connect with literary peers, share your work, and receive constructive feedback. Let’s celebrate sapphic voices together!

This virtual workshop is free, and uses DropBox file-sharing. All works are copyrighted and may not be reproduced or distributed without the express written consent of the author(s).

Each session, we’ll look at the following:
Feature text: up to 3000 words (or two texts totalling this amount).
Secondary text: up to 1000 words.
Open floor: one page (up to 500 words double-spaced) per submission.

The workshop is led by freelance writer and editor Brooke Lee (MA Education and Gender & Women’s Studies, McGill University). For any questions, you can reach her by email at: brookeanne.lee@gmail.com.
