This generative workshop will provide sparks to ignite new projects and constructive feedback to shape your writing past the first draft stage. If this year has been one of repose and stillness the intention with this workshop is to ignite the dark; discover new connections and try exercises designed to improve your prose. We will read, write and share (if you choose to) in the first session and the second will be devoted to giving feedback. Participants are encouraged to take some time to edit their drafts between sessions and to be prepared to give feedback to their peers. If you’ve been stuck in a rut or simply need to come to a writing space with intention where you can connect to other writers; this workshop is for you. Robert Frost said “writing a poem is discovering,” with a series of exercises that celebrate the unexpected and play with language we will engage and create together. All levels welcome as we will all be working with fresh, first drafts generated during the workshop.
