From 1-3pm on Saturday, January 16th, the Thomas More Institute is hosting a free, online open house to introduce community members to our educational approach! Located in downtown Montreal, we are a secular, liberal arts academic institution that offers university-level discussion courses as well as other opportunities for lifelong learning. Our discussions differ from the lectures offered elsewhere as group members are invited to participate collaboratively in a process of shared inquiry and reflection.

The open house is an excellent opportunity to learn more about our course offerings for the winter and spring semesters – courses like “A Dose of Canadian Humour” and “Angels and Animals: Innocence and Responsibility in Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead” take a closer look at some of the fiction works that have kept us thinking (and laughing) over the past year, and bring us into conversation with other readers.

It is, additionally, a great chance to learn more about our different community initiatives, like our Seniors Outreach Program, Book Club, and Interview Series. All of these events, like our courses, take place online and center engaged discussion, richly animating these winter days.
