WestmountLit Literary Soirée

Featuring authors Jennifer DeLeskie, Mikhail Iossel, Philippe Mineau, and Alice Zorn.

Meet local authors for a literary soirée of readings and discussion.

Westmount Public Library will be hosting an evening of readings and literary discussion on Wednesday, September 23. Done in collaboration with author Cora Siré, WestmountLit has been an annual event at the library since 2023 featuring local authors, with a focus on authors based in Westmount.

This year’s WestmountLit features authors Jennifer DeLeskie, Mikhail Iossel, Philippe Mineau, and Alice Zorn. Each author will read passages from their recently published literary works, followed by a question period where the audience is encouraged to participate. With works spanning from a teen dystopian novel to genre-bending single-sentence stories, it is certain to be a lively discussion! Copies of the authors’ works will be available for sale.

“We are so lucky to have such a creative community, and this event pays homage to that,” says Maerrin Dionne, the Programming and Outreach Librarian at Westmount Public Library. “It is a wonderful way to learn about works written by your neighbours, and maybe even discover a new favourite author!”
