Winter Solstice Poetry Reading

Join Kelly Norah Drukker, Gabrielle McIntire, and Carolyn Van Der Meer for an evening of poetry in Old Montreal.

Kelly Norah Drukker is a Montreal-based writer. Her poetry collection Small Fires (MQUP, 2016) won the A.M. Klein Prize for Poetry and the Concordia University First Book Prize, and was a finalist for the Grand Prix du livre de Montréal. Petits feux (trans. Lori Saint-Martin, Paul Gagné) appeared in 2018.

Gabrielle McIntire is Professor of English Literature at Queen’s University. Her first book of poetry, Unbound, was published by McGill-Queen’s University Press in 2021. She is also the author of Modernism, Memory, and Desire: T.S. Elliot and Virginia Woolf (Cambridge University Press, 2008) and the editor of The Cambridge Companion to The Waste Land (Cambridge University Press, 2015).

Carolyne Van Der Meer is the author of four published books: Motherlode: A Mosaic of Dutch Wartime Experience (WLUP, 2014); Journeywoman (Inanna, 2017), Heart of Goodness: The Life of Marguerite Bougeoys in 30 Poems | Du coeur à l’âme : La vie de Marguerite Bourgeoys en 30 poèmes (Guernica Editions, 2020); and Sensorial (Inanna, 2022).
