HOW TO WATCH THE GALA “LIVE” ON YOUTUBE
The QWF Literary Awards Gala will be broadcast as a premiere on QWF’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, November 4 starting at 7 PM. This means that everyone watching will be watching at the exact same time. So be aware: if you show up ten minutes late, you’ll be joining the video already in progress. The video is about 45 minutes long.

YouTube allows you to sign up to receive a reminder for the broadcast. If you do, you will receive an email two minutes before it starts.
HOW TO COMMENT DURING THE LIVE BROADCAST
You don’t need to have a YouTube account to watch the broadcast, but you will need to sign up if you want to comment in the box on the right rail. We hope you do comment and interact with the others who are also watching.
And if you are active on social media, we encourage you to Tweet or post your thoughts during the event using #QWFGala2020.
HOW TO ARRIVE IN STYLE ON THE “QWF RED CARPET”
Throughout the day on Wednesday, November 4—especially in the half hour before the Gala broadcast—we are asking you to post a photo online of how you will be watching the Gala. Are you dressed up to the nines? Are you in your PJs on the couch with your cat? Or, are you sharing a glass of wine with a loved one over a plate of pasta? Take a picture and post it on either Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #QWFGala2020. One lucky participant will receive copies of all of the award-winning books.
HOW TO JOIN THE ZOOM AFTER PARTY
To keep the party going, QWF will be hosting an After Party on Zoom immediately following the broadcast. This will give everyone a chance to socialize and share your thoughts on the night with each other.
For security purposes, we won’t be giving out the URL until the night of the event. So be sure to check QWF.org on the evening of Wednesday, November 4 to get the details. Just look for the large purple “NEWS” box on the home page.
