Alapi, Zsolt

Zsolt Alapi has wide experience as a teacher, editor, publisher, author (poetry and prose), and journalist. He holds a PhD in Modern Poetry from McGill University and taught at Marianopolis College for 32 years and at Concordia University for the past 18 years.  He was the editor and publisher of Siren Song Publishing and the magazine The Loose Canon (sic). His collection of short fiction, The Dance of the Seven Dwarfs, appeared in 2013, and his most recent novel, Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, was published by Livres DC Books in 2020.  He also wrote a weekly culture and humour column for Montreal Rampage called “Montreal Then and Now.” Zsolt can facilitate workshops on memoir writing, the short story, and writing first-person op-eds.  He is also happy to give readings, lectures, and be part of panel discussions.
