Bushell, Kevin

Kevin Bushell has been writing and publishing poetry for over 30 years. His poems have appeared in quarterlies such as The Fiddlehead, Prism International, Prairie Fire, and Exile. His poem “The Life of Alberto Santos-Dumont: a tragedy in two acts” was published in The Best Canadian Poetry in English (2011, ed. Priscilla Uppal). His first collection, Invisible Sea, was recently published by DC Books. The collection examines aviation history, so his writing connects with the fields of history, science, technology, and religion. Kevin is also a CEGEP teacher and has taught English and Creative Writing at the CEGEP and municipal levels. His approach is interactive, drawing on a bank of writing prompts, although he is happy to do a reading, discuss the creative process, or participate in a panel discussion. Finally, he is also an active blogger and can speak to his experience writing creative non-fiction and moto-sports journalism.
