Eve Krakow is the author of Voice Lessons (Guernica Editions, 2024), a collection of personal essays about a shy introvert’s search to find her voice—as a singer, a writer, a mother, and a human being. Her work has appeared in carte blanche, Grain Magazine, The Nasiona, JMWW, Maisonneuve, lichen literary journal, and Shy: An Anthology. In 2021, her story “Summer Evenings After Dinner” was longlisted for the annual CNFC/Humber Literary Review Creative Nonfiction Contest.
Eve is available to give readings, talk to groups and answer questions. She is happy to share her experiences about writing memoir, experimenting with alternative forms (e.g., hermit crab essays), the writing process (e.g., not censoring self in first draft, importance of getting feedback from other writers, revision and polishing), and submitting to literary journals.
