Norman Nawrocki is an author, actor, playwright, musician and educator. He’s written 14 books of poetry, short stories and a novel, and had his work translated and published in French and Italian. He’s also a veteran, multi-disciplinary cabaret artist who tours the world. He has recorded and released over 60 albums of music and spoken word; written, directed and performed in a few dozen theatre productions; and is the subject of several documentary films. He has lectured, performed at and given workshops to almost every university and college in Canada, and dozens in the US.
His specialty: teaching people how to use the arts to address critical social issues like climate justice, human rights, stopping rape culture, etc. In class, he performs examples of his work and discusses his creative process.
