Monique Polak is a prize-winning author, freelance journalist and longtime CEGEP teacher. She has published 23 novels for young people, as well two non-fiction titles and one board book. Monique’s classroom activities include exercises to generate story ideas, practical tips for doing story research and conducting interviews, as well as methods to develop characters, plot, dialogue and setting. Monique has a special interest in helping young writers identify the stories they most need to tell.
