Josh Quirion is a writer of fiction and poetry. He is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Montreal-based literary journal yolk. Since the publication of his first book, Towners & Other Stories (Shoreline Press, 2020), he has been working on a novel. Formerly a CEGEP instructor, Quirion has years of experience facilitating workshops for adult students. Josh’s workshops are developed to be integrated into the semester’s curriculum or as extra-curricular activities. Though the subject of the workshops can be adapted (and even informed by the instructor), some ideas that might be explored: Writing for a Specific Audience, Creating Compelling Characters, Crafting Effective Sentences, and Controlling the Pace & Plot.
