Marcia Walker is an award-winning writer of fiction, nonfiction, and plays. Her work has appeared in journals, newspapers, festivals, podcasts, and theatres throughout Canada and the U.S. Before becoming a writer, Marcia worked in theatre and as a lawyer.
She has taught memoir, creative nonfiction, and fiction at the University of Guelph and the University of Toronto and has led workshops in schools, libraries and literary festivals. She enjoys interacting with students about creativity, writing, theatre, and the power of storytelling. Her approach is dynamic and encourages student participation.
