We launched the ‘Suitcases for Batshaw’ appeal last summer, and were thrilled with your generosity and response. Can we do it again this year?

If you’re coming to the end of the summer and looking at a mound of suitcases and/or weekend bags, then we may have a very good use for them. Please read on, and thank you in advance for any donations that you are able to make.

Collection: Suitcases and weekend bags needed for youth in care

  • Dates: Monday 16 – Friday 20, September, 2019
  • Please note that donations will NOT be accepted outside these dates. We don’t have space in the office, and we simply can’t take them. Please respect the timings!
  • Hours: 10am – 4pm
  • Location: QWF Office, bureau 3, Atwater Library & Computer Centre, 1200 Atwater Avenue, Westmount, Quebec, H3Z 1X4

Batshaw Youth and Family Services provide luggage to youth in care. When the kids move around (home visits, upon release), they usually end up carrying their belongings in garbage bags or plastic shopping bags.

Batshaw collects weekend bags and larger suitcases (new and used) in order to provide as many young people as possible with a piece of luggage they can call their own.

If you have any such items to donate, they can be dropped at the QWF office from Monday 16 to Friday 20 September, 2019 between 10 am and 4 pm.

Please label all items “For Sam Barile, Batshaw Luggage Collection”
