“Views from Isolation” Zine Launch
When lockdown began, Montreal author & illustrator Marta Barnes sent out a request for photos of what people saw from outside their windows. Since everyone was seeing the same old sights every day, her goal was to offer a new perspective – and hopefully some cheer in a tough time.
This zine is a collection of those illustrations.
Since this project began with community in mind, it’s only right to give back to the community in its publication. For every zine sold, $2 will go to Dans la rue to help homeless and at-risk youth. After all, not everyone is lucky enough to have a window from which to share their view.
Fundraising will begin on Saturday April 3rd at noon on Marta Barnes’ Etsy shop and continue for all of April.
