The application period for writers wishing to be added to the 2022-2023 Writers-in-CEGEPs repertoire is now closed.

Watch for next year’s call for applications in the early summer of 2023.

The Writers in CEGEPs program sends established English-language Quebec writers into CEGEP classrooms to promote language-arts skills and an appreciation of literature. Financed by the Ministry of Culture and Communications, the program targets both public and private CEGEPs, and is designed primarily for students enrolled in English literature courses. While English-language CEGEPs are the chief audience, French-language CEGEPs with courses in English Literature are also encouraged to invite English-language writers. The program supports events open to the greater CEGEP community.

The Union des écrivaines et des écrivains québécois administers the program, aided by The Quebec Writers’ Federation. They can be reached at 514-849-8540 or by email, at
